located about an hour nw of houston, tx, in montgomery.
I'm not sure what's going on with the bike. I just got the trashed tweaker made harness replaced with an original stock harness from another 81. The bike ran rich coming home on the 40ish minute ride home, but died on me the next day about a mile from home. I couldn't start it back up. I got into it today and found that the right mikuni carb wasn't getting much fuel, so I replaced the petcock and cleaned the carbs. now it is getting fuel. The battery was really low, so it's now on the charger. I'm tired of wrenching and not riding. I'm not a good enough mechanic to service this bike myself and take care of it in the ways it needs in order to be a good running moochene. The bike has some nice parts, like the delkevic exhaust, LED headlight and chrome bucket, and it's ready to go with clipons or a standard bar. to transition to clipons, loosen and reposition the clipon mounts that are on the fork uppers, slide the bars in place, and relocate the switchgear and levers. bada bing, bada boom. 10 min and you're a cool cafe racer kid, doing the ton.
The bike has a good blue title in the previous owner's name. I'd like to get around $2k for it.
I also have a TC Bros model T axel mounted taillight/ plate holder I can throw in, if you want.
texting me is the best way to get me. 936-524-3873. my name's Matt
