I've seen a couple in local bike shows. Not heard any of them run. I think they look cool though.

Marusho made a small transverse twin in the 50s or 60s, looks very similar.

The left change came as a surprise and I wonder what that extra lever poking out the side is for - a neutral finder, perhaps?
Sounds lovely, though.
