XS650 Craigslist postings depository

I never thought so a few years ago but just looking through FB quickly yeah there's a bunch and that's just on FB
Hell I even have one listed

Call me ignorant, everybody else does, but what the heck, other than parts, is an untitled frame good for?
Well, in Georgia you don’t need a title. In Mississippi, it has proven easy enough to acquire a title. So, $50. The last one I bought, just like that one, I paid $50.

There`s more than $2900 in bolt on stuff in the picture. Interesting model "A" in the background too. Clocks need relocated though. Guzzi in the background?

I thought it sounded good too. No idea what the donor bike cost but it is at least a $5500 build. I can see $1000 in the front end alone. He says Make Offer? $2500 would be a steal. A good set of stainless down pipes and stainless reverse cone mufflers would bring this right around.

Few things piss me off more than uninsured drivers. I have been driving for 49 years and I have been very poor, dead broke in fact, and I've NEVER driven without at least liability insurance.
Me as well. Even where and when the law didn't require it, I carried it. I still do. A few years ago, over Thanksgiving weekend, a friend of mine was hit on his motorcycle midmorning by a young woman who was intoxicated. My friend was injured seriously, as was his wife riding pillion. His wife succumbed to her injuries and passed away. As you might guess, no insurance, no assets. Whatever the consequences were for the perpetrator, they were of no solace to my friend.

So sorry about your friends wife. Ironically, I sold my 75 XS650 to my best friend in '83, and he too was hit, head on no less (Thank God at a very low speed) by a drunk woman going the wrong way. Totalled the bike but thankfully he only suffered a broken collarbone. She too had no insurance, license or assets. Car was worth a couple of hundred bucks. I believe her chosen profession was barfly.

There are far too many of them on the road.

I'm 64, and I never personally knew anyone who drove without a license. When I watch "On Patrol Live" I'm amazed as at least half of the people who get stopped have no license. If that is their only offense, they get a citation and call a friend to pick them up. There is no deterrent. Getting involved in an accident without insurance should get you at least a few days at the Crowbar Motel, along with some serious fines and judgements. I know I sound like the old man screaming at the kids to "Get Off My Lawn" etc., but I swear, so many people today have no respect for the rules of a civilized society starting with accountability.
