Odd question, do you think the springs will fit on factory shocks, and work correctly?
I like the look of a black spring on a chrome shock, 1976 is my year.
Are the springs painted, powder coated, wrapped in vinyl, etc...?

No, they likely will not. I don't know how many spring diameters Progressive employs, but those I have are larger diameter than the stock KYB.
The black finish on Progressive springs is extremely durable. I don't know what it is.
