Been slowly making progress, too slow actually. Anyways, got crank out and noticed it welded… from what I’ve read I believe that’s a good thing? Also, has anyone used the oil seal kit from eBay that are in the pics? The last pic is the valve stem that I was wondering if anyone has used or does it look like it would work? I was going with OEM from Yamaha but my mags are powder coated black and I was wanting to try to match that and this was the only black valve stones I ran across.

I don't see why that valve won't work, but then again, I don't trust me.

One of mine rebuilt and welded in 2008 by Crankworks has the big end pins only welded, the other done a couple years ago by Hugh's has the center welded too. Over the years I have had 2 rods replaced on the first one. They just grind the weld away and then take it apart. The center would be harder but likely doable.
