Hello all, back with another problem. How in the world do ya get these oil seals in. :banghead: I’ve successfully destroyed both and gotta order more now. What is the trick. I get it started good and flat but shaves outer edges then warps. And when I say warps I mean that the center of the seal cones to the inside like a funnel. Help me please

This is one of the most frequently asked questions, and there is an easy solution.
Seems to be time for you to discover the Tech section.
Under "Engine and Transmission", you'll find all the info on seals that you'll need.

Yes, the Tech section is a wealth of information. If you don't find an answer there, there's also a search button top right of the page. It seems a little clunky and limited at first, but once you get used to it, it does a pretty good job.

Regarding the push rod seal:
I have never been able to push it in with my thumbs like you're "supposed" to. I slide a couple of washers that have been thinned on one side to clear the case onto a Phillips screwdriver, and I hammer it in. The screwdriver shaft in the push rod hole keeps things straight. It ALWAYS shaves a little off, but no worries, that seal never leaks around the outside.
I'd be interested to hear what others think.

I've never seen or heard of the inside warping or coning.

Plenty of grease and a pipe right size... no sharp edges.... hammer it in evenly.
Or socket for some seals.
Perhaps round the edge in the block a little if sharp.
