My last XS1 frame is almost completed. Engine will be next after the tank. I am coating the inside before painting.

Anyone used Caswell Gas Tank Sealer? How was everyone blocking off the petcock screw holes?
Thanks.
Bill

Do you have a chrome shop you deal with and, if so, what prep. do you do before giving pieces to them?

I did not seal my tank personally, but it has a Caswell liner that failed. After communicating directly with Caswell, I am under the impression that it failed due to the incredibly smooth finish inside the tank. It looks like new under the liner. But the Caswell kit is designed to bite on a rough or textured surface, not so much when it is really smooth. Food for thought....

Mine has some rust. I should be OK. Thanks. Bill
