I'm selling my 73 today and the PO removed the front brake switch when he went with a single 1 piece brake line
Hence no brake light coming on with the front brake lever
I gotta look again but he may also need the bracket that it mounts in also
Hey he's here with cash in hand and a trailer

I hope you made the sale.....

There are after-market - period looking - master cylinders that have provision for brake switch mounting @ the lever while retaining the single line.

Of course, the easy way is to convince the buyer he should really always use both brakes together;)

Bike gone if he can't locate an original of what used to be on there than the master cylinder and switch to go with it might be the way to go

Banjo bolt brake switch - that would be easier and cheaper than a new master cylinder with switch

I said I would help him locate parts for a while and let him know how to find them
As in go to Partzilla's website for the OEM numbers to search elsewhere if possible
And I told him he needs to become a member here
He's now has a 650 that needs work and will need maintenance so this is the place to be

Good ole MarkIV..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/362968978088

I thought it had a switch @ the junction but misremembered; the original does work off the MC

Easiest and cheapest solution in this instance is to buy a banjo bolt brake switch.
Does that mount down by the caliper ?

I'll have to scope it out for him
Thanks !!

And yes he should be using both brakes together but he did say I generally just use the front one
