Stuff my dog says; on second thought I'll just build a race car

One of those moments where I almost need to pinch myself. If you need me I'm just going to sit here and enjoy the view for a bit.

No before shot of the right side, but I extended to rocker roll back to the axle openings.

I'm here seam welding and straightening up the tail so I can finish the underside of the tail and I had an idea. I could put some red LEDs up in the tail so they can shine through the louvers as brake lights. I'm not sure I'll do it, I've never had any plans or provisions for any lights on the car so I'd have to add the switch and the circuit. It's an idea though.

Looking at your car reminds me of the Type 35 Bugatti I did a couple of years ago. It was an amazing piece of craftsmanship and I was thrilled to be able to restore a car that was only repainted once before and had never been damaged. All aluminum and built waaaaaay before Bondo.

Those are iconic and definitely a source of inspiration.

No, no headlights. One of the reasons why I thought of doing a brake light that way is because it's completely hidden so it doesn't mess with the aesthetic. Headlights are going to do that pretty much no matter what. I can make a case for needing some sort of brake light at a track day too where I can't see reasoning for headlights at one.

I'll keep the thread alive as long as people are still paying attention to it
Are you kidding? I'm sure I'm not the only one around here who's been following your progress from the start. I'm waiting to see your car in full paint (of course, that's up to you), and a video of you tearing up the track (besides your video running around the parking lot). Like my Uncle Yoda said: "...Do, or do not. There is no try." Keep up the great work, and documentation. I'm lovin' it!
