Stuff my dog says; on second thought I'll just build a race car

And I'm sure there are many here who are jealous as hell at equipment you have access to for this project. And I hope your bosses understand how this project is money in the bank for them down the road with the skills you are learning through this build!

Love these

My boss and I talk about it occasionally, it's a tall order for him to have the car there. A customer came in a few days back and went head over heels for the cars, a guy planning on spending serious money with us, so there is upside that way too. I'm still confused by the publicly dismissive attitude for it though, a guy they hired to improve our social media stuff loves the car but got to to keep it off the shop feed. On the other hand my boss last night was talking about looking forward to seeing the car in paint and wanting to help the filler/straightening process when it gets there. No clue if that's happy it's here or wanting it gone without going back on his promise.

Ignore the negative Nancy's of the world. Nice work.

Very impressed that you have managed to keep this project going so well and with enthusiasm...:hump:

My only comment is be sure the windscreen can be easily modified at a later date. Windscreens cause turbulance which is fine as long as it is not hitting you in the head/helmet. You may need to try several variants before you get what works best with you on the track.

My plan is to do a three sided glass mount leaving the top side open. I haven't decided on a shape yet, obviously what I did there is flat -ish but I was thinking today about doing a radius along the top side. Turbulence is a real concern as that very thing made me heavily dislike the CBR600F4i I had.

I had a windshield on my bike once and it was like getting constantly slapped on the head. I would finish a ride with a headache. When I removed it everything was perfect. Now back to your build, is the supercharger running now?

It is not much to my aggravation. Nothing has happened since I got the initial set of computer drawings, not even the first set of test cuttings.

And three, added slightly more rake to this one and I think it's what I'm going with.

Didn't do any more with the windscreen, maybe tomorrow. What I did do was fight a welder (eventually found a leaky regulator) and spend Way too much time making panels to fill those small gaps beneath the rear axle. I am much happier with them in place though.

Was finally able to get the car outside again today and took the video and some actual whole car in frame pictures for the first time with the body mostly made. It was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit and had been raining all morning so no driving, just pulled it out and back in. After that got to work on the windshield frame.
Probably overboard with the pictures, you'll all deal though.

Any plans for a grill/radiator shell ala early Ford? A grill might protect the radiator from rocks and debris on the track, and add a little aerodynamic touch... :twocents:
That's next for things is to weld some seams up in the front end then begin working on the nose. It seems that I'm having the windscreen frame chromed too, the reaction at work was....strongly in favor. My plan originally was to paint it the same blue as the suspension and then do the roll hoop blue too. That frame came out even better than I had hoped though and looks good shiny.

Removed the radiator and welded up the seams in the front, then started looking at the grill surround trying to plan something.
