I have a question for the bobber builders. 1" or 7/8" bars and what risers would you recommend? I think I've narrowed it down some slant z bars, to me they look good and have a nice ride height, but was unsure about the diameter as I don't have the stock risers, but will probably stay with the stock triple trees for now. Any input is surely appreciated!

I’m running this , however, I’m building up a desert sled type. 7/8 , stock bar to tree mounts .
Personally, I think 7/8 offer more flexibility in bar accessories, but, to each, their own

Not much difference in performance or feel; the big difference is in the range of choices for risers, switches, lever perches/master cylinders, etc. You'll want to match bar size to that stuff you prefer. That said, 1" risers are more plentiful, but mostly have 1/2" (13mm) mounting while your stock triples have 10mm mounts - so that needs addressed. If using stock or japanese bits, 7/8" make life easier

It would have been a no brainer to go 7/8" had I had the stock risers, but wasn't sure if the 1" was more for the springer or sportster conversions, your set up looks good!

Thank you! Those are the things that I don't think about or know about in this matter.

I have a set of risers. They can be used as is or cleaned up and repainted. The threads are not weinered up as far as I know, just remover them and put them in a box of excess stuff. I have converted to Virago risers on both my bikes so I have no need for them.. I would be glad to send these for postage, guessing $6-$10 USPS flat rate box/padded envelope. I also have an extra set of the rubber bushings they mount in N/C. You will have to supply your own flat/fender washers for top and bottom. They come drilled for a spring clip but I might not find those. A small cotter pin would do the trick.
