A question for UK owners, has anyone carried out a 750cc engine capacity upgrade and amended their V5 engine capacity section, if so did you have any problems?

@Leslie Thats a great question for which I have no answer.
I would like to know however as I may do the BBK myself.

I know nothing of UK regulations, however I've found one is often better-off not voluntarily supplying any govt. with information that is not compelled: in this case a displacement change not outwardly visible to the MOT inspector. Your insurer may also get heartburn at the news of increased hp.....

I'm with you. Volunteer nothing.

I've found the process simple and painless, when I last changed engine capacity in the UK.
Just amended the V5 and associated docs and sent it back to the DVLA.

The insco MUST know, too. - don't give those feckers a chance to wriggle out of a claim, should the worst happen.
99% certaintly they won't increase the premium anyway.

Here in Aus and NZ our XS650' are LAM's approved and registered as such (means it can be ridden under a P plate license due to power weight ratio).

Any increase in cylinder size takes the bike out of the LAM's to open license, if the registration hasn't been changed to show this and the bike is sold as a LAM's registered bike and involved in an accident, (especially if the buyer is still on P plates and buy the bike a a LAM's bike), and the bike is found to have been altered, it then becomes a criminal offense that could have consequences far beyond a fine, especially if the rider or another person is killed
