So I put on Richard Hawley live cd for a burn in.... Wow it like I was there!

THE BLOCKHEADS
Wha a night of entertainment on Friday from this bunch of older codgers!
New singer Mike Bennett (replacing Ian Dury) was a great fit and the band were awesome.
Video 1 is before Mike Bennett:

Video 2 is with the New singer:

I ran the "Grapevine" dozens of times in '84-'85. Mrs (to be) lived in South Central LA and I had taken a posting at NAS (Naval Air Station) Lemoore, central San Joaqine Valley. I made many trips to woo my intended on my XJ650RJ Seca up and down the Grapevine humming that tune in my helmet.. Point of reference here, I ran from a 350 foot elevation over a 4500 foot elevation to south central LA with no hiccups from the CV carbs just to get a kiss from my sweatheart...

If we're talking film music and in particular WW2 films, best is theme from Where Eagles Dare. So evocative - the theme just builds and builds and really builds the atmosphere in a cinema. Which is where I first saw the film, Pavilion in Galashiels in not long after the film was released in 1968.

Possibly theme from the 633 Squadron films, also composed by Ron Goodwin, might be in second place?

Being of the 70s Zep was revered. Some of the music was tedious but I really I liked this... (and the video is kinda coool, a Zeppelin blue print drawing itself)

Yes Sir ..the Beach ...the Boom Box .. Walking on the arms trying to impress on the Ladies.
Cant remember any real success in the last part.
But Zep was propably the most Popular Band ..Purple ..Stones ...Sabbath and Credence.
