Hello trying to tune up my 1981 XS650 for the season but running into a delima, I have the XS performance coil with 7mm leads and LBO5F caps, the delima is my caps are 5 ohm resistor caps and the new PPR7ES plugs are resistor plugs and no studs, searched for BP7ES plugs to no availability anywhere. If I have to use BPR7ES plugs what caps can I use with them? or new coil and wires and caps?
Thank you for your time and response Ron

I looked on NGK.com and they list NOTHING compatible with XS650. What I did was visit a lot of auto part stores and bought every BP7ES I could find. Maybe I need to hoard caps as well. MikesXS and the like don't have 0 resistance caps in stock and maybe they can't get them.

You want the LZFH caps. You can usually find 'em on ebay. Most parts stores have 'em too.

I wouldn’t trust any spark plug off eBay. Flooded with fake plugs.

Get non resistor caps.

All your life’s problems will be solved, I promise.

Yes, the BP7ES seems to have been discontinued in the U.S. under it's old stock #1034 .....

But, it has been re-issued under a new stock number (2412), as mentioned, and is readily available from England and Europe .....

Hopefully this new number will become available in the U.S. soon.

Great source for NGK products in Canada and cheapest price I could find. They also have a US site. www.clubplug.net. They have free shipping too with a minimum order (fairly high but if you buy all your plugs at the same time for cars, bikes etc it’s pretty easy to hit min).

They only sell the resistor plugs.
