Hey there,
I’m currently wiring my 1980 xs650 with a motogadget munit v02 using @peterg wiring diagram (great diagram btw). Most of the wiring is simple enough but for the ignition I’m a bit confused. I have everything stock expect the ricks Motorsport reg to run lithium battery. But the selenoid, starter motor, charging system is oem. I’m kind of lost when it comes to wiring the spark plug, the ignition box because on the diagram it’s says eadvance and Pamco which I don’t have. Can someone help me with that.
Thanks 🙏🏻

The output 'Ignition' will feed the Red/White wire circuit for the OEM ignition (kill sw & coils)

No, if older Motogadget, I think it's AUX. "Start" output is just for solenoid +

Got a pic of your unit's schematic?

Edit: just found the unit peterg used; the ignition (OEM R/W) is powered by AUX output

I'm assuming your unit uses earth inputs as do the current versions...

The output AUX would power a circuit that feed R/W at the ignition coil + terminal and also feed the R/W (not W/R) of the stock TCI Igniter in parallel.

The output START would feed the R/W at starter solenoid +

Unless you're using an aftermarket kill button (momentary) the OEM kill switch would not be grounded and be wired in series after the AUX output on the ignition circuit

The stock starter button provides ground (earth) to input START and the Blue/White wire at the solenoid would be grounded.

i’m using aftermarket control. one momentary button for the start one toggle switch for the on/off

Sorry - re reviewed your diagram - it is correct, as I interpret it, and using the stock style kill switch.

Here ya go; re-drew ignition and starter circuits:

Not to confuse things but attached is my updated drawing showing the Boyer ignition I installed last year.

FYI. The config switch is used to program the M-Unit.

On your late model - Type A - regulator, the function of the brown wire is to sense the state of charge in the battery and tell the regulator how much ground to provide to the rotor. So, I think it's probably best to connect that to AUX with ignition +. I can't see a more appropriate place, but you can test the output of that scheme to verify it works as intended
