Anybody play with drones?

Mobs of roos.
Here's some footage of a couple of mobs of roos. One mob right at the beginning, another mob at 30 seconds in. Difficult flying through this area: trees, bushes, sticks, branches. I think I got them all.

A buddy upgraded to a newer one with lots of do-dads and stuff.... he gifted me his old one. Small... easy to take on the bike. I need more time behind the " sticks " .... It has a feature where it will follow me on the bike.. at slower speeds and take videos.... The one drawback is because it's a smaller unit... windy days will carry it away. 😎

30 yards of new compost/loam spread, raked, seeded, raked again and rolled. Now we just pray for rain. Supposed to rain overnight. If it doesn't I'll water it tomorrow and spread the straw.

This thread got started because I bought a drone to get pictures of the damage to my roof.

I started a claim, sent the pictures and contacted my preferred roofer. He's busier than a one-armed paperhanger, but finally got by last night to get some measurements and put together a quote.

Got CC'd on the quote for materials, waiting for the complete quote with labor and disposal.

Meanwhile, my insurance company pre-approved $10K based on pix and dimensions. If the quote comes in significantly more than that, I can have them look at refiguring the claim. If it's less (fat chance...) they said they don't need to know that.

Quite a relief, I wasn't looking forward to footing that bill on my own.
