WTF pictures

No matter how comfy I couldn't relax on a bike with no front brake.
Took Allison to lunch on madness yesterday. Wide open area, only traffic, us and a car.
We were taking a left, no stop sign.
Guy coming from left came to a stop. Then pulled right out at us. I hadda use the brakes hard and straightened my line. He FINALLY saw us and stopped. I had been watching him and was slowed in time that he wouldn't have run us over. If I hadn't been paying attention to him we would have hit. Went very slowly around him and gave the stink eye. He was pretty embarrassed, We would have been maimed or dead.

The extra margin of dual disks and a fresh front tire riding two up, might have made the difference yesterday.

Glad that you and Allison are O.K. Gotta' keep your head on a swivel out there.

I'm expecting to see more motorized bicycles on the roads this summer. Even in this wide open, low traffic, farming, hicktown area, I'm expecting to see many bicycle killings, just like the rash of scooter killings we saw in the last few years.
Yep, you can't fix stupid.

Putting the motor back in the old beast. After 60,000 miles it was time for a complete refresh.
Heck I have a 1988 883/1200 and the only time heads were off was when I upped it to a 1200! Now I don't want to have to add up the times the transmission and or clutch has been out mostly due to alternator magnet failures! And that is with a sidecar on the side for all but about 15,000 miles!

It is no longer laying down. Should be fairly easy going after this.

Wow, are those trees in the background? They're almost laying on their side. Hope this wasn't a person taking this photo. I saw straw driven into ponies and trees, like bullets, when I was real young.
