Although I can appreciate the craftsmanship on some of those trikes, I've never had the urge to build one or ride one. I really don't get the point, which is nothing new to me.

What is a good motor oil for a trike? The trikes I see in Cardiff UK usually belong to older gentlemen who nolonger feel safe on 2 wheels and just need at bit more stability in their riding - I understand this ...

Yesterday started front end swap on my Ex Chicago PD Cx 500 Police trike. Honda did not build these.. a private company made 250.... or so I'm told. This version used a Cj Jeep rear end with golf cart brakes.... one disc on the front. Brakes fine for parking lots...brakes not so fine for anything above 40 mph. I got a parts Cx 650, pulled the front end, rebuilt the forks and the calipers, serviced the rotors. Now dealing with gauge mounting and other issues... dual disc forks are wilder... as a result the single disc brackets don't fit.... the Cx 650 didn't use headlight ears.. (faring).... the Cx500 ears are too short..... so, a visit to the local cycle boneyard to find a naked (no faring) Cx650. The one photo shows what it looked like when I picked it up in the burbs of Chicago.
