Remove one stinking piece of metal and weld in a replacement. Took all day, didn't get the project wrapped up until 8PM.
Went through 5) 7" abrasive cut off blades cutting though all the welds, didn't break any blades. Then bust it out with cold chisels and a 2 pound hammer. The old Snap on MIG was being overworked on this project. Had to reset the panel breaker on a regular basis.
84" x 6" x 3/4" scraper bar on my snow bucket was worn away. Had to weld up some stress cracks where the bucket mounts too. It's got 20+ years of snow plowing duty on it. It won't go another 20, me either.

Busy time of the year.
I've been fighting some Hedge Apple that should have been copiced at 8' instead of almost ground level. Found a couple of Persimmon saplings in the tangle and freed them up. I should have taken a picture of me bloody arms at the end of it all......mess with hedge and your gonna bleed, guaranteed.

Yup.

I've got a 60 inch Land Pride Rear Finish Mower that I use behind the Cabota to keep the fields trimmed. It has 4.10/3.50x4 pneumatic caster wheels on it for height control. When I bought it (used) it had tubeless tires and they were impossible to keep on the rim.

I bought tubes and a Horror Fright tire changer and put tubes in all of them. That worked for 3-4 years, but when I went to mow the other day, one was flat. Tire rolled off the rim and shredded the tube. Broke out the tire changer and put my spare new-in-box tube it in and...shit. Tube full of pinholes.

I figured if one rotted out, the others were soon to follow and I'm tired of pissing around with pneumatic tires, so I looked for some no-flat wheels/tires that would work. Did find some but the bearing size was wrong and the hubs were offset vs. centered like the old wheels.

Couldn't get any closer so bought them, made some spacers to center them in the caster frame, drilled and threaded the caster frame for the larger axle size and mounted one up to replace the flat one. Mowed a couple of acres this morning and everything looks good so I'll change out the other three over the next few days. Or wait until they go flat...
