Those are not 70-73 footrests, and I'm just about 100% sure that chrome was never an option on 70-73.

ya know, i held them up right against my tx650 and they are ever so slightly different. If you want i can see if they'll mount and clear the correct levers and exhaust but i'm thinking they may have come off some other bike. I was just told they came off a tx650 when i bought some forks/wheel from someone and he was just gonna trash 'em so i picked them up.

Thank you for clarifying and offering to check the mounting, but I have found a set as of yesterday evening.
