It would be better mounted under the s/a as this would lower the C of G. The only downside I can think of is that the electricery would have to go uphill.................................:rolleyes:

I did manage to do a bore with a file once...talked about files for about an hour and 47 minutes by which time the piston had lost the will to live. When I tried to do a re-bore it just walked off. Let that be a lesson to you.

Perhaps, due to my excellent engineering skills (:unsure:) (+ my torque wrench and Plus Gas) or perhaps divine intervention, I've not had to resort to using extractors.

If you choose this route use a LH drill for the pilot hole. As this turns anti clockwise it may well undo the screw as you drill. I would be concerned about using the smallest extractor as they will be easier to break if too much torque is applied....then the problems really start! :redface:

Relative to what? It will have to meet the emission requirements of the intended market and pass whatever type approval standards are in place. I suspect that your average motorcycle will use similar hardware and software to achieve this.

From what you write I suspect it is relatively new(?) and therefore fitted with a cat? Assuming this is the case then the the mixture will be controlled by the electronics and unless 'cheating' software is installed then it will be as the factory or local legislation intended.
