    The T150 xs650. It fits!........sort of.

This was part of my pointless "abomination" thread, but I thought others may want to have a look. It's hardtail because it was cheap and with the Trident frame £150. The engine leans back a little more than in the picture, at the front the older TX650 frame brackets are out of range but the...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Right! everyone who can be bothered to follow the thread! I've now got the time to get on with the previous projects a) gsxr framed xs (expensive and stalled due to work and head steady issues) B) Bandit 600 framed xs (frame swapped to gsf1200 , lower frame mounting points better placed but...

    Covering old ground probably......

I returned back to the UK to continue with various xs650 bandit/overly expensive gsxr framed projects. I had these two frames side by side as some members were discussing Triumph frames and wheather or not an xs650 lump would fit would fit in any, this is less than scientific but here's a T150v...

    FZX 750 radian rear wheel??

Hello fella. No, I want to use the FZX rear wheel in an xs650 special swingarm, couldn't find any information.

    FZX 750 radian rear wheel??

Checked through previous wheel threads but didn't see the same question, trying to find out it this wheel will sit comfortably in an SE swingarm?? I know some have used the radian swingarm with 16" wheel, but this may not be the case the other way around.

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Good morning to the forum, have been working away and just got back so thought I'd do a "dear diary". While away purchased shipping container and had it dropped in behind garage to mop up surplus parts, the "Blandit 650" and the "Slingshit 650" are going in there until I retire in November and...

That'll be the slingshot frame, the head arrangement is still outstanding on that but this rusty old Bandit is a bit more straightforward!

    GSXS650R Abomination special

I think the short hand is "WTF", however I'm cutting this BMW 650 engine mount to fit at the front, I've got a few of these BMW mounts and will attempt a weird set up to rear. Good thing is these mounts/bash plates are strong and not incredibly heavy. Ugly? well yeah but so am I👍

These 447 crankcases came back from vapour blasting, the patina on that mating surface is the same on the other side, I'm not going to pick them out but I'm deciding what gasket type to use if I build another spare motor.

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Thanks for the reply, I wish I could speed things up as all the parts to try out are here but I get one day a week! When the lower cases go on I was taken back by the way the bandit frame shrinks, I'll get it outside and get it rolling before doing anything else. Cheers

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Got back yesterday and commenced on this pile of sh..... sorry project! The engine is now exactly where it should be or can be, look how close those lower mounts are! I shouted "FUCK" when I saw just how much I'd have to take off the swingarm post to get it on those bandit mounts, the left side...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Thanks for reply, always good info when someone moves away from stock equipment for whatever reason, I'll have a look at that primary gear set up in any case. Cheers

Putting together what amounts to 2 engines in various conditions, this head came in from America in good condition to the point of looking like it had been vapour blasted, this was on the left side intake, the right chamber is spotless. On a different note, 18T 530 front sprocket (new) the rear...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Morning Forum Collected slingshot xs650 from engineer as my bill was racking up, tilting the engine forward and using struts to prevent any sag/lift etc was not my idea at all, the engineer started working from the idea of the aluminium framed Norton drag racers from America and not a weekend...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Hello fella Sorry for late reply, and yeah you are right about the chain run/swingarm pivot. I'm going to have a look tomorrow as after your post I checked the rear engine picture and thought Bollocks! I'll post again when I remove my head from my arse, I think I can drop it 2 inches and line...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Hello. You've got a little more access if the engine comes down a bit on the lower rails, but I might weld removable section shut and cut out the side spars and brace further up. Little hands and a torch otherwise 👍

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Removed a pound of weight from the Bandit frame by removing the sonic the Hedgehog thing from it's hiding place at the front of the frame, this is supposed to stop a "buzzing" through the bars and metal at certain velocities. I got rid of it because; A) An xs650 doesn't seem to "buzz" unless...

    GSXS650R Abomination special

Hello Forum. Ground hog day (or same old shit day) As I was working this morning I thought I'd rig this thing together when I got home to show how it fits in a Bandit frame. The whole motor top will load from the top of the frame so that allows you to weld it shut and move the bracing struts...
