    Let's See The XS's

I have to appologize for my mistake on who built the frame I mentioned here. I had remembered the frame we bought being a Malcolm Smith one, but couldn't find any info about him building one, so I changed the frame to a Dick Mann one as posted here and blamed my poor memory.

    Let's See The XS's

Yup, the Yamaha shop I worked for bought a frame for a customer (municipal judge). He bought a new '77 TT500 + Fox shocks and other trick parts from us and we did the build. I stripped the tank of paint and a friend polished it. I rode it up and down the alley, so didn't get a real chance to...

    Ageing out or The Crossroads

This is a bio on a gentleman named Neil Fergus. He's 95 and still riding adventure bikes. Most of us would like to live that long ...with a productive life, that is. http://thebannerisup.district37ama.org/alumni/nfergus-bio.htm

    Ageing out or The Crossroads

I'm 79 now and my balance /stength ain't so good anymore. I have been thinking for the last 2-3 years about when I'm going to 'hang up my helmet'. I only rode about 500 miles the last 2 years. I don't want to tempt/fool myself anymore. I think this is the year and I will 'wake up my sleeping...

    Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

The rear axle goes through the exhaust pipe which means that the engine rotates so the suspension will work. :umm:

I still have a the original loan paper (found it about 5 years ago) from buying my 1st car, cosigned by my father...1955 Chevy Belair, 2-door hardtop for $500. Who knew that this 1st car loan for a teenager would lead to lots bigger ones?

    Whats your weather right now?

It started today @-2f and improved to 10f. Same for tomorrow...but, 40-50 on the weekend. +1 for Subi's in the snow. Had a 1990 Loyale Wagon. Better in the snow than my Cherokees.

    Whats your weather right now?

Climate change is forever. It's been 11-12 million years ago when 'we' started thawing. See below, it looks like we have a few more degrees to go before 'we' start back to an Ice Age, but don't count on anything. "According to current scientific understanding, just before the last ice age...

    Any market for Suzuki GS1100?

2 Friends bought 1982 GS1100E when they were new. One of them was a Yamaha mechanic that worked at the Yamaha shop I worked for. Owner was pissed, said he shouldve bought a XS1100. He kept it for 16 years or so. Same as this pic.
