No worries man. I came to the conclusion because I rewired my entire bike three times and while I could get it to run, the lights never once worked. So it was mainly out of frustration and stubbornness I contacted Hugh haha. He was great though

Hey Jibber! I did. It was the stator itself. I communicated with Hugh from Hugh’s Hand Build who told me he had a bad batch of stators go through a while back. I sent it into him for testing and sure enough it was wired incorrectly. He repaired it, sent me a video of it working, I got it back...

Gotcha. I will check that thread out. Also sounds like new sleeves, pistons, and rings would solve this…?

Would that indicate the need for larger rings? The pistons are stamped 0.50 currently

Update; the stator for HHB was wired wrong. I sent it into him and he rewired it. Got it back, hooked it up and boom, power! All good now. Running and riding

Those open connections are for the headlights unfortunately. Not related to the reg/rec and fuse box yet unfortunately

This first rusty/odd sized ground has been fixed but I will definitely re work that second ground point.

I have a meter but by no means an expert (obviously). Am I putting the positive to one yellow and the negative to the other yellow to test resistance Between the two?

This system only came with two yellow wires from the stator, which also confused me as I’ve seen others with three. I will try the ground to the engine and check voltage again. Last test I didn’t have any voltage from the two yellows.

Not sure if it’s an upgrade or a cheap one. It came with the HHB kit from TC Bros. It’s supposed to be grounded from the bottom of the unit directly to the frame. I ran ground wires from the rec/reg mounting bolts to the frame, which is also the location of the ground location for the fuse box...
