    Uneven rotor wear

The contact strip on this rotor is completely messed up. When I put the bike (xs750) away for the winter the front wheel was completely locked so I’m replacing the bearings and the brake pads. I’m wondering if the tiny contact strip is because of a warped rotor, brake pads, or do I need to...

Quick Review of the RS36 Carbs For XS750

Running Uni Pro filters with the delkevic 3 into 1 exhaust. She runs way too lean out of the box with that configuration, I had to richen it up quite a bit but anything off idle no popping whatsoever. Those pumpers keep fuel flowing nice. The powerband is fantastic, consistent power off idle all...

    Xs750 Headlight Problems

Found the relay. It’s under the tool holder behind the battery. One of the contacts was corroded. Cleaned it up and she’s good to go.

    Xs750 Headlight Problems

You’re right. I noticed also that the horn doesn’t work, but it makes a small sound and dims the lights on the dash. When I remove the flasher canceling unit the flashers and break lights still work fine. I can’t find a headlight relay anywhere but my model doesn’t have the headlights on off...

    Xs750 Headlight Problems

With the headlight relay unplugged the dash lights still work, I noticed on some other models removing this relay kills the dash lights too but I guess not on this one. If there’s a way to bypass the thing I’d rather do that than replace a part that will go bad again. It’s a 5 pin connector.

    Xs750 Headlight Problems

I put on an LED headlight which worked fine for the first few weeks, but then it started flickering while I was riding and eventually stopped working altogether. Replaced the headlight with a stock one to no avail. My dash lights all light up when I switch the bike on, just the headlight doesn’t...

Quick Review of the RS36 Carbs For XS750

I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a set of RS36 Carbs for my 79 XS750. It took about a month from the time of my order for them to be built and get to my door, Tom at Mikunioz told me that it’s because a shipment of new carbs was crazy late or something like that but it’s not the...

Extremely Difficult to Roll XS750 In Neutral

Wheel spins freely-ish when it’s lifted, it definitely doesn’t spin by itself but there’s also not much resistance. I don’t really know how freely it is supposed to spin because I’m the new owner of this bike. Brake isn’t rubbing or anything.

Extremely Difficult to Roll XS750 In Neutral

It’s much more difficult to roll it backwards than forwards, enough that the front of the bike ends up lifting up when I try pulling it back. Bike has no problem taking off when it’s in gear.

    Xs750 Rear Shocks Replacement

Hi all, I’m wondering if any of y’all have experience with replacing/upgrading the shocks on an XS750. The shocks that come stock on the bike handle like a waterbed, as they were designed for touring. I wouldn’t trust this bike to do any touring with, so I’m looking for something a little...

Anyone Have RS36 Carbs for XS750?

Wanted to see if anyone on here has experience with the RS36s, I'm looking to replace the stock CVs with the set from Mikunioz. If anyone does have them; What's the mileage like? were they really bolt-on ready, or did you have to tune them? How's the power?

General engine question. Non xs related.

Never seen anything like that. That is so cool, definitely would be a really confusing example for a beginner though.

    XS750 Starter Motor Power Draw

I’ve noticed that no matter the battery, even if it’s being boosted, this thing really doesn’t like starting when I use the starter. I was wondering if that’s a result of bad coils, (this model doesn’t run on points) or if it’s just because old starter systems weren’t designed great. Keep in...

    XS750 carb tuning

If you're running Velocity stacks and new headers you'll most definitely need a rejet. I have my 750 one up on the main and pilot jets, running Uni filters and a much more free-flowing exhaust than stock. Since you've got the same year as me you should have the same set of carbs, but I would...

    XS750 Backfiring But Not Starting

Sorry yall, I could’ve sworn I updated this post but here’s the rundown: downsized the pilot and main jet to one size above stock, needle at stock position. Mixture screws are turned out 1.5 turns. Runs perfectly. The problem I was having with backfiring was because I was running it so rich...

    XS750 Backfiring But Not Starting

It revs up really high on choke, around 5000rpm. If I try to give it any throttle it dies out.

    XS750 Backfiring But Not Starting

I installed the smallest pilots I have (one above stock) and the bike seems to start a little easier now? It’s hard to tell because it’s constantly giving me different results when I try something. Once the bike is started it runs at idle for about 30 seconds before dying out. After dying, it...

    XS750 Backfiring But Not Starting

I believe I went up 2 on pilot and 3 on main. I'll try downsizing and see what happens. Thanks to some suggestions from yall, I now have allen head screws on my carbs so rejetting is a lot faster.

    Diagnosing XS850 no start

I have an XS750, voltage dips quite a bit under load from the starter, even with a good battery. I normally have mine hooked up to a booster when I'm at home tuning the carbs. Do the oil, neutral, tach and speedo lights dim when you crank the bike? when you get it running and rev the engine do...
