hi all .i have out smarted myself here goes i can confirm that you cant run a 256 cam adjuster with 447 chain . it will rattle when you turn the motor over by hand back and forth.. now time to pull it to bits and fix it.. i definatly wouldnt start an engine like this cause it will shit itself...

i have modified my cases and have built a custom sump . im in the process of finding a oil pickup strainer .that i can modify to fit my design. you definatly want to get the oil away from the crankshaft slapping it.. i removed the starter motor then boxed in where it used to be i tigged it all...
