    Smoking from right cylinder

I think so? If I rev it I get some black smoke so I think that could be jetting? Unfortunately the white smoke persists past several minutes I ordered new valve seals today. Hopefully that will help the smoking and new jetting will help the idle dying out?

    Smoking from right cylinder

The plug on the right cylinder was dead. Replaced both and both are firing. Tested with a spark plug tester AND by heat ( just touching the exhaust and feeling them warm up)

    Smoking from right cylinder

My ‘75 was sitting for about 8 months while I re-wired it to a moto gadget M.Unit with an Anti Gravity 4 cell from it’s previous capacitor. I built this engine up last year and it ran with no major issues. I found that the right spark plug was dead, replaced that and now I am having problems...

    Bad Stator or Reg/Rec?

Very well could be. I bought mine around feb 2024 from TC Bros so maybe they had the batch sitting on their shelves for a bit. Hugh was pretty receptive about it. I sent photos of how my bike was wired how I originally planned it, then I took the reg/rec off and mounted it directly to the motor...

    Bad Stator or Reg/Rec?

No worries man. I came to the conclusion because I rewired my entire bike three times and while I could get it to run, the lights never once worked. So it was mainly out of frustration and stubbornness I contacted Hugh haha. He was great though

    Lighting, Kick start only

Hey Jibber! I did. It was the stator itself. I communicated with Hugh from Hugh’s Hand Build who told me he had a bad batch of stators go through a while back. I sent it into him for testing and sure enough it was wired incorrectly. He repaired it, sent me a video of it working, I got it back...

    Crank is blacked

Gotcha. I will check that thread out. Also sounds like new sleeves, pistons, and rings would solve this…?

    Crank is blacked

Would that indicate the need for larger rings? The pistons are stamped 0.50 currently

    Crank is blacked

This is great insight! Thank you! The cam chain guide shows no major wearing at all really. So that was a surprise. I split the case on my last build (pics) so i am not too shy about it (for better or worse). I am worried about what is lurking in the bottom case. The oil plugs came out horribly...

    Crank is blacked

Tearing down my 2nd motor for rebuild and noticed A LOT of build up and blackening on the left side of the crank/piston push rods. I got this motor thrown in as part of a trade a few years ago. It was reported to have been in a fire (not sure if the bike itself or in a surrounding shed. The...

    Bad Stator or Reg/Rec?

Update; the stator for HHB was wired wrong. I sent it into him and he rewired it. Got it back, hooked it up and boom, power! All good now. Running and riding

    Bad Stator or Reg/Rec?

Those open connections are for the headlights unfortunately. Not related to the reg/rec and fuse box yet unfortunately

    Bad Stator or Reg/Rec?

Still struggling with powering my ‘75. Bike is running and riding great. Kicks over on the first try without fail. I wired in my HHB PMA kit with supplied regulator rectifier but have no power coming through for lights. I have 0.6 ohms resistance between my two yellow wires from the stator...

No power to fuse box or capacitor?

This first rusty/odd sized ground has been fixed but I will definitely re work that second ground point.

No power to fuse box or capacitor?

    Awesome and understood. Thank you.

No power to fuse box or capacitor?

Does this mean I should have three yellow wires instead of my two? Thanks for any insight. Im no electrical guru

No power to fuse box or capacitor?

I have a meter but by no means an expert (obviously). Am I putting the positive to one yellow and the negative to the other yellow to test resistance Between the two?
