I bought an assorted pack of the Ziploc containers. I use the different sizes for all sorts of things and the are pretty chemical resistant. I like having a lid if something needs to be put aside while it soaks or it will be a minute before I get back to it.

With that set-up and a stock MC is the split at the switch unit? If so it’s just a matter of removing one line and using a shorter banjo bolt. Put the spares on the shelf.

Those bearing sets always sit a little “Proud”. The only issue I’ve had is that makes the headlight ears a little short. Easily fixed with an o-ring. Never had an issue with slop and I’ve installed a few of those.

Have you checked both sides of the floats? If there is a small twist of any kind it can cause a leak.

I had that early ‘70 parts bike and when I pulled it apart I don’t remember seeing that bearing. BTW I do have some of the early internal parts still around if you need something.

I thought about it and the one tool I use daily is my trusty shop vac. Great for everything from dust control, drilling chips, leaves(they always blow in) and cobwebs. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite but it’s used on every single project. I’m kinda anal about clean-up.
