    Green Grandad resurrection

I'm not a pro but when I welded mine I had the swingarm installed. I didn't remove it until all the welds had cooled down. For the crack on top I ground frame smooth and welded a piece of flat steel over the crack, the other cracks I just put a V in them and welded them up. 10+thousand smiles...

    My disc brake is dragging.

my The fact that you could bleed out pressure at the caliper rules out the caliper. That leaves the line or MC. What I would do is ride it and carry tools to loosen the line at the MC. If you bleed off fluid and it quits dragging then most likely a MC problem. If problem doesn't go away most...

When you opened the bleeder did you see any air come out?

    Axle torque

I don't use a torque wrench. I get it good a tight with the same tools I carry on the bike. That way I know I could loosen it on the side of the road if needed.

    Another Oil Thread

Very true. That's why you use a non-synthetic oil for break-in.;)

IMHO if it's compatible with a wet clutch it should be ok. I would not use it until the rings have seated.

    Project XS2

The battery in my XS2 is very close to 3 1/2 inches wide. You will find it is not a lot of fun to install the air boxes. With practice it doesn't get much easier. It can be done.

    Project XS2

In order to install the air boxes the battery has to be removed but not the battery box. After the air boxes are installed then the battery can go in. If your battery fits in the battery box it's not to big.

How to re face your gauges

Figured I should add this here also.

    Xs1-b speedometer rebuild.

I just finished putting new faces on a set of XS2 gauges. I was worried about setting the new faces. My hands are not as steady as they used to be. I found that 2.5mm round stock makes a very good guide when setting the new overlays.

    I suck at riding.

Now when I raced off road I would get on the gas and try to slide around the corner. If I didn't make it it was just part of the day.

    I suck at riding.

Not to me. If I get into a corner too hot and decide to get on the brakes hard the bike stands up and goes straight. Not sure if the bike does it because of the hard braking or if I do it.

    XS-2 Battery

I bought 1 of these last year for a XS2. So far it's working well. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202668222500

One up or one down, sprocket questions !

I would go 2 less on the rear. Works very well for me. Bigger on the front can cause clearance problems.
