I have two '76 bikes with vintage plates.
In Texas a vintage plate must be issued the same year as the vehicle.
The problem is Texas used the same...
I just went this week to get new tags for my CJ360T.
It had been registered here in Texas as a "classic" with a vintage NOS plate.
HA! I picked up that "best of" CD the other day at the thrift store for 50 cents. I've had it spinning in the truck this week.
I used the kits from Mikes.
That was my only issue, petcocks stiff to turn but I figure they'll loosen up. No leaks! :)
So to add more to the story of this bike for some reason...
The build date of the bike is 7/75 - it's an early "C", #576.
I've mentioned before...
I ordered two. Total S&H was $4.20.
