Why is my bike locking up after rear wheel and tire replacement?

@JBB, just pulling your leg which isn't fair, sorry for that. Welcome to the forum and there are people who will help you find out why the wheel is locking. Just not a lot of information to go on yet. Do you mean you can move the bike forward and backward by just about a foot and the wheel...

Why is my bike locking up after rear wheel and tire replacement?

A padlock through the chain and rear sprocket.

For me, that is just too horrible to watch. But I bravely did, sitting here with sweaty palms now. Third rung on a ladder is about my tolerance for heights . . .

    Whats your weather right now?

Dreich. Colder weather and another round of winter on the way.

@Shelby, there's no need to be put off blade fuses entirely just because there's millions of cheap ones which don't blow at the advertised amps. The same consideration applies to cheap Chinese glass fuses as well. It seems that for cheapness churning them out, all the fuses share the same...

    The Big Sue resto-mod thread

Perhaps people have ground shims down but sounds like false economy to me if factory shims are readily available. Liking this 850 shaftie.

What book are you reading right now?

'Humankind - a hopeful history' by Rutger Bregman. Bregman takes on a small subject, namely the history of humanity and human nature over our entire evolutionary history, and takes the position that almost everything we are taught about human nature in just plain wrong. And dangerous. He...

Good stuff @YamadudeXS650C. When I was rewiring my Bullet, I hit on the same idea - using female crimp connectors to hold a blade fuse, instead of putting a fuse box. It's so easy I thought 'Doh, why didn't I think of this before?' Also used bicycle inner tube to tidy up and give some damp...

Stupid question - brake light on cluster

Tell us a bit more about the carbs - you rebuilt them to factory spec, but did you clean out the various passages? Petrol, especially with alcohol content, will go gummy over time and can block or partially passages and jets.

    First Start with new Boyer

From what I recall - and it's been a while - you get the rotor positioned on the 'advance' rod, white dot should line up with the edge of a magnet, squinting through hole in sender plate? And you try to get that with screws holding sender plate in the middle of their slots? That is supposed to...

    WTF pictures

That's why the guys all wear armour and safety boots - safety in mind at all times. Not. If you were an innocent little125 coming down the production line, what would be your dream, who might end up owning you and what use might you be put to? What would be your worst nightmare?

    Nutrition health and Weight loss

I have not read Metabolical, so I took a very quick'n'dirty look at what it's all about. It would seem that Lustig's book is highly controversial - partly that's because he attacks the food and nutrition industry, a very powerful vested interest. Partly it's because some doctors and diet experts...

    Got it Back

Said above about the link sometimes acts a bit flaky? Well, I'll swear the editor the forum uses is a bit erratic, nothing to do with getting confussed or getting fingers crossed up or doing a cut'n'paste in the wrong place, nothing to do with ahem user error, but I'll swear sometimes the...

    Got it Back

Sometimes, the link acts a bit flaky - there's times I try to like or reply to a thread and nowt happens. Or seems to happen, sometimes the reply appears after a few minutes. Can lead to duplicates which makes one feel a bit foolish.
