I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

I really like how the extra height gives me a better vantage point in traffic, and helps me be a little more visible as well. I'm actually going to lower the front end 1" with a Hugh's kit to fake a more aggressive head tube angle feel; mostly to make up for the additional length added by the...

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Thank you guys so much! I'm just trying to focus on functionality while making it the most fun possible, and the aesthetic is [luckily] following suit. As far as the shock length, I got them from Dave Quinn Motorcycles. I sent him the image below along with my weight, plans for cargo, riding...

How about some ideas on rear fender mounting

This one? I bought one of these. I ended up going a different direction with my fender though, so I never ended up running it. I'll give you a good deal on it if you're interested. Let me know if you'd like pictures of the one I have.

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Haha I completely agree. I've been piecing together parts to build a new tail light, and am going to run a small fender too, I think. Baby steps.

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

I am too hyped on this thing now that I finished the new seat. Matte black, UV-resistant, canopy material with hand-sewn pleats wrapped around a fiberglass pan that extends up onto the tank for a little nut-pad. The oil mist issue is also fixed, thanks to a fresh clutch gasket...

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Protip: don't reuse gaskets, skip doing a shakedown run, and immediately embarkon a 50-mile round trip. Oil will mist everywhere and make right turns "interesting", haha. Checked the oil during the trip, and when I got home and the level was never low; so it was just a mist making things difficult.

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

I've been running the rear for almost two years with no issues, and just re-tensioned/trued it when I mounted the new tire over the weekend. It was out of true, but not bad at all (especially since that's the first time I re-tensioned it since I built it ). Here's hoping you and I don't...

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Both rims are the 2.5" WM style from Mikes. And you're right, I used the 18" front conversion kit from Mikes as well. Lacing it was straightforward and not really any different than when I built the rear wheel. To tension and true it, I bought a balancing stand from Harbor Freight for ~$30...

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Thanks to the amount of fun I had on the pavement of Three Sisters, and the realization that my bike and I aren't on dirt 98% of the time, I decided to stop trying to make this heavy thing with no clearance a dirt bike and make it more fun for the riding I'm actually doing. Updates: - KC...

For Sale - 21" wheel with new Pirelli tire, XS2 forks, XS2 front wheel

The disc is smaller than a stock XS. I was planning to run an aftermarket rotor that matched the Brembo caliper I'm running so I wasn't worried about the size of this one. The hub is a common bolt pattern, and it takes a flat moto-x rotor as opposed to the offset discs on the XS, which should be...

For Sale - 21" wheel with new Pirelli tire, XS2 forks, XS2 front wheel

I put a different front end on my bike, so I'm getting rid of the XS2 forks and front wheel that is no longer being used. (SOLD) First off is this 21" wheel that I was going to run in the front. I decided to go a different direction and I'm not going to run a 21" at all anymore, so I can't...

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

I haven't, I seem to miss it every year. Not sure if I can make it this year either... :banghead:

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

Ha! That's actually the thread I followed to do my weighing. Small world. I want to go back to the "Twisted Sisters" soon. Those roads are too much fun.

I don't know what style it fits into other than my own, so I just call it "Mjölnir"

I tried one day to get an idea of what it weighed with my bathroom scale, and no matter how I did it I always came to about the same thing: 330–350lbs. I'm want to go to a scrapyard or something soon and sit it on their big truck scale to get the real weight though.

    short clutch cable

    1. Measure your cable ends 2. Pick up a package of new cable ends (good to have spares) 3. Buy an Odyssey Slic cable 4. Mark your desired inner wire length 5. Cut the inner wire about 1" past your mark from step #4 6. Slide a new cable end onto the inner wire, making sure the larger hole faces...

Off-road light as headlight? (KC Daylighter, Hella, etc)

There's only two wires coming out of the KC bucket, so I'll have to pop it open and see how/if it's currently grounded. Is there any benefit to running a relay, or should I just direct wire it like my current light is wired?
