    2021 XS650 calendar *OFFICIAL* Thread - PHASE 1: Nominations - Through Sept 13!

Hey gang. I'm looking for a nomination. My bike was on the calendar a few years back before it was completed. It's been a few years, but I think I'm finally done, with the Gunn Designs exhaust as the icing on the cake. Thanks in advance for a nomination. I appreciate it.

Hey gang. Does anybody know if someone builds exhausts like the one in the attached picture in the States?

    Rockerbox 2017, who's going?

Anybody heading to Rockerbox at Road America this coming weekend? I plan on going as of right now. Going with a couple or 3 guys, all on older Beemers.

    Tail of the Dragon

There are several photographers throughout the 11 miles. The three I saw are Killboy.com, 129Slayer.com, and 129photos.com. They are all pros and are using pro lenses. In reference to the LED, the answer is "yes". It is manufactured to the par 56 standard. I had used it for a short period of...

    Tail of the Dragon

I love it! The light output is insane. The only thing I didn't like about it at first was more of a fitment issue. Not that it didn't fit, but I didn't like the way it's stuck out of the headlight bucket about three quarter of an inch. I ended up turning down a large aluminum ring to set it...

    Tail of the Dragon

Yeah, it was beautiful, lower 70s.....perfect. Yes, that is LED. It's a Trucklite brand LED.

    Tail of the Dragon

Yeah, he was a bit too close. I wasn't going fast enough for him. I eventually pulled off out of courtesy. It wasn't too crowded that day, and everyone stayed in their lane. It was good.

    Tail of the Dragon

Last weekend, I was on my way back home from Florida, and I had planned on stopping at the Tail of the Dragon. I unloaded in Bryson City NC and drove the 40 miles to Deals Gap and took my bike through the Tail of the Dragon. It was exciting to say the least. I was approached by many...

What have you done to your XS today?

As a practical example, I have plasti-diped the factory rims on my Silverado that I use for winter tires up here in Wisconsin. They've lasted three winter so far and no signs of giving up yet. So, yeah, it's pretty tough stuff.

The Ride You Haven't Made Yet

In a couple of weeks, on my trip back from Florida with the bike in the trailer, I'm going to hit the Tail of the Dragon. I hope the weather cooperates for me. I routed out about 150 mile round-trip from Bryson City, through the Tail of the Dragon, over to Gatlinburg and then back to Bryson...

What have you done to your XS today?

Today I made some solid riser plugs and some fork tube caps out of aluminum and polished them up. Took just a little bit more ugly off the triple clamp. Now I got to do something with that crusty looking clutch perch.

What have you done to your XS today?

That sucks. I had a similar situation a few weeks back. My son was looking at a Yamaha FZ-07. The dealer had just assembled it that morning. They pull it outside and started it up and I decided to take it for spin around the parking lot. 0 miles on a brand-new bike, cold pavement, cold brand...

Those are actually pretty slick. I watched a few of their videos. Seems like the Harley dudes love em. I'll never understand the Harley scene, though. I mean, really, how many black t-shirts can one human being own.

    Possible Ignition Issues?

Do you know off hand if the Pamco for a 277 engine has this function? I always wondered about that. I am in the habit of starting the bike a quickly as possible after switching the ignition on.

What have you done to your XS today?

Today I changed out my bar end signals to some Motogadget M-Blaze Pins. I wasn't willing to shell out the $240 for the M-Blaze discs. That's just a little to steep. These were $80 bucks on Ebay. Still kinda pricey, but the light output is pretty crazy. I had bought a set of el-cheapo...

    Build your own M Unit

Well, that was fun kids. I've made all the points I wanted to make, so out of respect to the OP, I will sign off. Hopefully he can glean some nuggets of information out all of this. Can we change the subject? Let's talk about something that everybody can agree upon. Let's talk...

One of my goals is to not to end up on the side of the road and I am confident I won't. Just to refresh our memories, here is the original XS650B wiring diagram.......not simple: Also, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.
