I Just replaced brake light switch from mechanical to hydrolic on my rear disc. the brake light remains on even when not pushing the brake pedal. any cures for a faulty switch? I got the one from mikes xs it didn't fit so I put in a generic.

Shift Shafted in California. While adjusting the gear selector arm on my shift shaft I noticed it was not grabbing the gear selector star. I removed the shift shaft and bent the gear selector towards the case about 2 mm. Now im shifting through all gears properly. I hope this tidbit can help...

Help !!! 79 xs650 will not disengage, I have replaced worm gear , clutch cable, long pushrod, friction plates, oil seals, shift shaft. Im using Valvoline 20/50 mc oil clutch properly installed!!. I think my shift shaft gear changer from mikes xs may be the culprit. please help thanks

yup mine broke at the weld so I slit the bar with a cutting wheel n rewelded the suker on both sides. shame on mikes xs for such a week tool
