SOLD Nice survivor bike, previous owner did a top end job. I installed new fork seals, oil , gaiters, polished fork legs. New Dunlop K70's and tubes. Everything works Tank has some deep scratches but Cobalt blue paint looks good enough overall so I didn't repaint. New Mike's pipes...

Nice job, if I wasn't east coast I'd probably step up. I'm sure there's that much into the resto at least.

It does help, I'll pass it along to my paint guy and see if he can make it work. If you say it matched that's a big help. I haven't seen any paint codes for the Cobalt blue. Where did you get the paint??

Yeah I know I'm probably looking for a unicorn here but the left sidecover on my Std 1979 XS 650 2F has some battery acid damage and I'm trying to keep the bike pretty much original. I think trying to get painted and matched will be a headache, so I'm casting the net to see what's out there...

The single fuse idea was concocted by the same guy who thought up the headlight reserve safety flux capacitor.

On a 1979 Std XS650 2F does the bike have more than the one fuse besides the one near the starter relay?

Just as an FYI most bikes won't charge until 2000-2500 rpm. Doesn't mean you don't have a problem but it does need to rev to charge.
