The car parked next to me at the grocery store today. 😲

He could be like me… I park out in the back cause it always has parking and it lets me pack in a few extra steps in my day.

I am too. I was a bit hesitant with the purchase due to the failing liner but I did get a good amount knocked off the price we negotiated over the phone because that was not disclosed.

Quite successful with the acetone soak. Left it over night and it took off about 99% of it. The discoloration is just normally what the tank looks like. But it’s all clear of liner. I filled it back up for another soak tonight to get the rest. I found this in the book of paperwork...

    Speaking of First Ride

All your observations are bang on! I’m 6’2 and 200lbs. Mine had a cup holder that was installed on the left side of the drivers seat that I thought was an anti theft device because I smashed my knee on it every time I got in the jeep. The fact you kinda sit in a bucket with your feet below...

My manual claims 110 top speed, I don’t think I’ll test it. Seems a small bike to be goin that fast on. I am looking forward to the sixth gear though!

That’s pretty cool. I’ve been toying with the idea, since the barrels are off, might do a little port work and maybe run some chambers. I’ve been reading that rd400 chambers work well, just gotta cut and weld the flanges from the t350 on. Not too hard.

Yes a smaller 500t so to speak, but I’ve read they are more aggressively tuned And they sport a 6 speed transmission. As for the shop, man is it a dream to have a real space to work in. I’ve had little half garages, side yards, old horse stalls and little sheds… time for a change. It’s...

    Kickstart only 1980 xs650

Kick start should disengage when you pull the clutch in. You got something installed incorrectly. Sure your pistons move?

1970 Suzuki t350 - a bit of a rare bird. The price was quite right but it does have some downsides. I believe someone was restoring it in the past, lost steam and had to move on. I’m not quite sure. It seems there was a lot work done, frame was powder coated, lots of nos hardware and...

My old CJ7 - traded 2 surfboards for it! If Maine is anything like CA with emissions I’d suggest either finding an early CJ7 or CJ5 that is emissions exempt. I’d also hunt for one with a fuel injection throttle body swap already done. It does wonders for starting. I had to go fuel...

Bought my first cafe (XS650 1974)

Pull the plugs… see if they are wet. Make sure you don’t have a run/stop switch flipped to the stop position. Make sure you still have a good battery (didn’t leave the key on). Won’t start with a dead battery. And on the note of good battery - if it’s got an aftermarket electronic...

Any sources for Street Tracker glass?

making your own seat is always an option. Go slow, be patient. Relatively speaking, quite easy to do and has almost no upfront cost beyond material. (No special tools needed that you probably don’t have already). It will take you time, and you will make a mess.
