I would like your opinions on engine storage.

Spray fogging oil in the spark plug holes and the intake/exhaust ports(to coat back of the valves) back off all the valve adjustments, then roll the crankshaft around until all four rockers are loose(all valves closed).

    First Start with new Boyer

Snap a spare spark plug on one of the leads, then cycle the key switch on and off a few times, you should see sparks at the plug gap.

    In 1968 we did a bore/hone for $6 a hole, about $54, in today's money.

How far gone is too far gone?

I like to use walnut shell, and a siphon blaster to clean carbon off aluminum parts, gets the carbon off without roughing up the surface or marking up the surface. Valves, I take over to the wire wheel on My bench grinder, removes the carbon and doesn't harm the valve.

    Looking for some insight

If it was Mine I would find some parts to convert it over to points, it would greatly simplify the wiring. If you charge the battery between races you could run a total loss type ignition, no alternator, with literally one wire in the harness from the battery to the coils.

    Ignition circuit diagnosis.

With the points open, use the end of a screwdriver to short the points spring to ground, see any sparks?

    The description says"superbike handling", yeah,right.

    Ignition circuit diagnosis.

With the switch on and the points open there should be battery voltage at the points arm. No voltage?, power to the coil is interrupted, or the points wire and/or the condenser is shorted to ground.

    WTF pictures

Downright ugly, who wastes time and materials to make a thing like that? Must be some adolescent need for attention.

Chain length, choice in swapping to larger rear sprocket - 36 Tooth

You could just add a half-link to it, to gain just a wee bit in length.

Chain length, choice in swapping to larger rear sprocket - 36 Tooth

I doubt adding two teeth (34 to 36)is going to make all that much difference in the length of the chain.
