I shipped tank, fenders and side covers to @Jim last winter using a commercial UPS/FEDEX/whatever for ~$95IIRC. When @Jim shipped the completed tins I believe he used pirateship and the shipping bill was ~$45. KC to Sheboygan WI. I feel that last number is reasonable and not really criminally...

Maybe when TurboTax asks if I have any out of state purchases...

I pulled the trigger on petcocks from Xs650 direct earlier today. Thanks for the offered help. I will order a key for the grungy fuel cap and move forward. Now, I have to remember where I saw keys offered on line.

My RED Bike is a daily rider. It was a 17009 mi kind of ratty Special when I got it. It recieved retorqueing and basic maintenance and a make over and is a good runner. It is a good daily runnner. I will take it to the Dick Russel Memorial Rally in Arkanansas and run 700 mi next month. There...

Maybe not the end.... Retorqueing has been successful. But a small leak may stay small for years...

I washed off the winter garage dust, cleaned up the wheels , polished alloy and chrome today, then went for a short ride. When I rode past girls holding a "Brat Fry" sign I had to turn around and go in to get a "double", It's a Wisconsin thing.

Your plug wires seem long enough, swap the left plug wire through the frame to the right plug. Have the left coil firing the right plug and vice versa. Let's all assume the valves are set correctly..

Is the petcock bolt pattern standard for all or later year tanks? What is the key number in that grungy cap? ( :banghead: )

Will I need to order petcocks and gaskets?
