    Mailman’s XS2 a full on restoration

I'm certainly no carburetor guru but I had a similar experience with an old Kawasaki . The carbs were completely gummed up so I took them apart to clean. The pilot jets were clogged so I took wire or something similar to push the gunk out. In the process I managed to make those jets ever so...

Hi Ron, I can’t really help except to say that a picture of the tank will help the people here identify what you have and what you need to fix it. Cheers, Bill.

    Brake Bleeding

I’ve had success in the past by simply placing a zip tie on the brake lever and leaving the system open overnight. This allows air in the system to rise to the top and evacuate through the mc.

    xs2 Auction

I can't give it an honest value myself. That's why I'm lurking around here reading as much as I can and learning. Fair or not, I suspect it will go for closer to $5k. The seller didn't do himself any favours taking pics while parked on gravel, unless he's trying to hide something lol.

    Fuel leak

Hi JE, I'm certainly no carb guru but I'm sure there's no way for your gas tank is causing your leak. It's a simple gravity feed system. I think you need to look in the float bowls.

New to the forum and this XS2

I'm always jealous when Americans post the price of a bike they found. Just for my own curiosity I've compared prices throughout Canada and the U.S. and it's pretty consistent that prices in Alberta are higher than everywhere else. I don't know why but it's true. If a bike is worth $500 anywhere...
