The wheel spun very freely with no chain. So I'm guessing it's like others have said and just tight becuse its a brand new x-ring chain. I will re tension with the bike on the ground and me on it.

OK apologies this is a very beginner question. I just put new sprockets and a chain on and now I notice the wheel doesn't spin nearly as free as it did before. Is this normal? chain is tensioned and aligned.

I can't seem to find any spec for the rear sprocket bolts in my manual. I found a thread on here that says 22 foot pounds but that doesn't seem like much. Is that correct?

But you'd have to come up with a way to align the string with the sprocket. I'm sure a guy could make somthing though.

I'm looking at ordering some sprockets and thanks for the advice here, I'll get a 32 tooth rear. But i also feel like I should just replace the chain as well. Should I go down a size to a 520 chain? Just for clearance?

Thanks for the input 5twins. I did change the o rings on the mix screws. Also changed the outside shaft seals but I was a bit nervous removing the butterfly plates and I didn't do the inside ones. I have the adjustable needles set to 3rd slot from the top. And iv got 135 air jets in currently...

I'm went up 1 size in the pilot and main. 45 and 135. I never thought about reducing the air jet, but that makes sense. I'll order a size down and see what that does.

12-1400. It seems like I need to turn it up to get it started then turn it down as it warms up

Jim if you or anyone else would care to have a listen here's a couple videos. First one is 3 turns out and there's this slight burp/pop I can't figure out but it's only on the left side. Second video is at 4 turns out. That burp seems to go away but it's my understanding 4 turns out is way to much.

Maybe a dumb question but will the position of the fuel mix screw affect how well the bike cold starts?
