For Sale - Selling my 1983 XS650 Heritage

I've had this one 3 years, the second owner (a friend) had it nearly 20 years. *He's a very meticulous guy, kept good service records and receipts but really didn't know 650's very well. *Since I've had it, I've flushed and refilled the forks, installed a brembo brake disc and replaced ball...

If you have wire wheels, check the spokes. I have seen loose spokes cause the same problem.

    British XS650'ers

Celebrities having a bodyguard, elitist? Really, how is that an issue? Having a bodyguard is light years removed from a fanatic ranting about purchasing AK47's.

I happen to like Piers Morgan, he gave that gun nut hell the other night when no one else would. On the other hand, Simon Cowell who gives a f**k.

Rt. 25 south out of Lexington,Ky

It depends on your travel plans. Old US 25 south of Cincinnati is interesting until you get near Georgetown. If you are in that area at shift change you will be run over by traffic to and from the Toyota plant. Old 25 between Georgetown and Lexington should be avoided! Again, daily traffic, to...

    Can't adjust my ignition enough..

I understand that you want to ride and not work on the bike. However, if you install a Pamco before solving the charging problems you may have issues you haven't imagined yet. Do this: adjust the cam chain first, then adjust the valves (engine cold). Now check and adjust points and timing...

Changes to MotoGP rules in 2014

CRT bikes have been the ugly stepchild since they were introduced. Now it seems they are going away. It also appears a more logical approach is being taken toward ECU's. http://motomatters.com/news/2013/08/28/the_2014_motogp_rules_a_minor_modificati.html

    Coil test how to????

Early Yamaha coils were famous for being weak. The hot trick, back in the day, was to replace each of them with a Kmart brand coil for a Chevy pickup. I've used generic coils, nearly any 12v coil is better than a new original. The down side to this is size. Coils for a Chevy pickup are way...
