I'm trying to sort my bs38 carbs on my xs650b but can't open the guides, seems to be unavailable. Can anyone send me a link so that I can read it, read it some more then try to put it into practice. My factory settings with foam pods can be improved on I think.

Do any of the UK members know where I can get the thin walled fuel hose as used for the carb overflow, the normally available stuff is 9mm OD which is cumbersome and difficult to fit through the gap between the frame and engine.

Quick question, are the screws that hold the indicator lenses on m3 x 18mm? That's how I have worked it out from the part number, I could go out and measure one but that would be too easy.

Are the old style bend over lock washers really needed on the brake discs and rear sprocket or can threadlock be used? Also the 33 tooth rear sprocket on my 75 isn't noticeably worn but is corroded, can I get away with just replacing it without a new front and chain?

So I've had all of my xs tin painted in the original colour scheme, it's been done for several weeks now but the finish still seems sift to me. In inconspicuous areas I can easily push a nail into it, is this normal for 2k paint?
