have a complete 79 spiecal (in parts) plus alot of 78 parts two engines

i have acomplete 79 roller and all the parts an everything but the frame 78 i would be willing to for best offer i'm in pontiac illinois

you might try pinesol use the brandname stuff it won't hurt rubber parts but need to keep diaphram out:bike::bike:

im 64 started riding in 1970 on a BSA 441

my daily ride is an 83' virago 920 (old reliable) has a little( lol) starter noise but it starts every time

im thinkin can it be that easy ? can we use our stock stators? surely somebody can say it can or cant be done. i'd like to hear from the guys who know this stuff

the guys that build 5 horse briggs use valve lapping compound on their taper when the modify their timing

really i work on all my stuff and i dont see much differance in my 83 920 and my 79 xs650 at least difficulty of repair which by the way i dont have to do much after the first year i had the 920. i just fixed the problem areas before it caused me a problem. the 650 is much the same way

those of us that run viragos with hitachis know about seafoam also you can soak your carbs in pinesol or lemon juice to clean them and they wont hurt any rubber parts
