After letting more oil sit in the cylinders overnite, I’m able to use the kicker now. What’s next, check for compression or see if I’m getting a spark? And somehow I did something to the clutch cable, the clutch lever is easy to pull and doesn’t spring back. Thanks for all your posts.

Both. You have the plugs out, so check compression.
And since the plugs are out, hook the leads to 'em and see if you're getting spark.
