Thought I'd try here first before listing elsewhere:
I acquired this bike on eBay in November 2023. It was sold as a non-runner in Rockville MD. Turned out I was to be the second owner. The bike had been in the seller's family since new.
It is a 1977 XS650D model and had about 15,000 miles on the clock when I got it. It now shows just under 17,000.
Work I did to get it running:
So yes it has a healthy "patina" as you can see in the pics but she is completely original as far as I can tell. Everything works as it should. She'll start right up and hauls like a tractor. Tremendous fun to ride. I am a little heartsore to sell her but I am ageing out of the moto world and I need to downsize the herd. She would make a great restoration candidate.

Work I did to get it running:
- Rebuilt fuel petcocks
- Replaced fuel lines to carbs
- Replaced one leaking carb float bowl
- Replaced carb bowl gaskets
- General inspection of carbs & jets (nothing was blocked)
- Checked float heights
- Replaced spark plugs
- Replaced contact breaker points
- Adjusted points gap and checked timing with strobe light
- Checked and adjusted cam chain tension
- Replaced front brake fluid
- Changed engine oil and both filters
- Replaced battery
- Cleaned and inspected air filters
- Replaced the mufflers and headers with period correct originals (there were some after-market mufflers on her when I Picked her up)
- Replaced the front fork seals and changed the fork oil.
- Tires (Dunlop Gold Seal K70 front and back) have very little wear and have date codes of 2018

- Clear NC title in my name, no liens
