Great looking bike, 3 into 1 exhaust in excellent condition, tank has rust but flawless, not running, low compression, likely needs top end work. Needs brakes Great project bike,

That is the first model year for the 750 triple and the only year to come with that factory 3 into one header / muffler, they are not seen very often.

I had a ‘78 with the more conventional two sided exhaust. I liked that bike very much.

I have a 2D that I refurbished last year, have had so much fun with it. I love the 3 in to 1 exhaust on the D and this one was for sale on Craigslist very pretty bike needs brakes, handle bar components. Tank and pipes are beautiful. The lame brain who sold it to me said it needed timing. Turns out it likely has a spun rod or some other top end issue. I can turn a wrench and buy parts off eBay but I’m no mechanic and I don’t want to tackle engine issues. I love my 2D and I’d rather ride it than do mechanical stuff on this one. I hope it goes to someone who loves these bikes and knows his stuff with engines. It should be allot of fun for the right enthusiast.

I had that same bike (78 with burgundy inset), same color even in High School back in the late 70's/early 80's. Great bike...it was my only transportation, year round in Washington State no less.
