XS650 Enthusiast
For anyone interested- starting a build thread for my XS build “Cosmic” recently featured at the handbuilt show in Austin, TX. I did all the work myself out of my garage.
Monoshocked - hyperpro custom made shock
The front wheel is a 1972 Suzuki water buffalo front hub. I converted the actuators to hydraulic with some master slave cylinders. This makes the brakes feel modern
The clutch was also converted to hydraulic using an vrf700f clutch master cylinder. I went through 3 side covered before I got that to work correctly.
The tank is an XS750 tank feeding some Mikuni carbs. It took a while fabricating brackets to make the tank fit with a custom made seat pan / cowl.
I had custom external springs made for the front forks that add a bit of damping. There are still internal springs in the forks.
Custom lighting, fenders, and mounts throughout.
All new electrical with a VAPE are ignition, motogadget bits, lithium battery, etc.
All had an old exhaust from Hoos racing that I modified a bit.
The engine has also had a 277 rephase
