I done some searching and haven’t found definitive answers so I thought I’d take a shot at posting see what I get, I got a 2005 vstar xvs650 Silverado after wrecking my vstar 1100 custom…I hate this bike too speed on good day 85mph, I’m going todo a full build because I’m bored and I feel like this bike deserves to have it so I need to know life’s universal question to custom bike builds, what can I put on it to go fast and last, I know about exhaust, jetting, intakes, that’s fine but what engines will fit in it or is there a big bore kit available/ parts swappable, cam upgrades? Is there something I can do that will get this bike to the low 100’s or gods willing do wheelie, I had my vstar 1100 After I was done closer to 1300 but I like this little bike for a project and not much out there as far as performance upgrades and does anyone know good cable swap I want 14-16” Z-bar handle bars but can’t find cables for throttle, clutch and brake line do I have to fab them or is there a better easier option to just click buy thanks guys hope to hear back

I recently met up with another rider on the Natchez Trace who was riding a 1300 V Star. He told me the bought the low mileage bike from his Harley-Davidson dealer for $500 and for that they delivered it and dented the tank in the process because they couldn’t be bothered to be concerned about it. He told me he made two very minor repairs and has been criss-crossing the country on it because he prefers it to his Harley.
Point is, it’s a great bike to ride, but no value in spending money customizing it. You won’t get any of it back.

Oh I know I am trying to sell it or part it out everything must go $900 for the whole bike or parts varies depending on what eBay says and how many you buy 😂😂
