2024 Yamaha XS650 Society Inaugural Westby WI Rally. Sept 8th though Friday Sept 13th

I know this is late for an anouncement. Westby has a wonderful assortment of roads to explore. @Ben1 and I travel 2-3days to make the Smokies Rally and decided we could be riding and not driving those 2-3 days. This region in western WI near the Mississippi has wonderful roads for exploring. This will be a first time for both of us. Curiously there was a thread earlier asking about a midwest location for a rally, Ben and I discussed the Smokies and decided we would ride and explore here. There are 3 other members and friends who have expressed interest in joining us for casual riding for a couple of those days. Ben and I will be at the Norski Inn Sunday Sept 8th though Friday Sept 13th. We may invade the @gggGary estate to explore the treasures hidden in the SOIR if his border defenses are down. This is all preliminary but likely a couple of hours riding to a lunch stop and a couple of hours riding back to the lodging after lunch. Breakfast and dinner as a group or seperate. Routes will likely be planned each day with group input because neither Ben nor I have any local knowledge. We will explore.
This is an open invitation and ALL bikes or trikes are welcome to share the joy of exploring new roads. I cleared with @desmoman900 the use of the YamahaXS650 Society in titling this post and I extend apologies if this invites steps on toes for any reason and will retitle if needed.

2 day ride what's the big deal. Ozarks are a 2 day ride for me and I've done that a few times.

My biggest issue will be carving out a week of vacation. I’ll have to choose this and not go to the Ozarks. Four 350+ mile days on the 650 I’m sure I can do. You’re proof of that!
 
Please everyone understand that this is a first step. A test run. Ben already had this time bracketed at work. The idea is try it, prove it, move it, move the date in the future. I couldn't expect our southern friends could make this. I will see them in AR. Maybe more midwesterners might be interested. Who knows? One member, @mm1ut1 is planning to join for a day or 2 and @Mikey is in the planning stage with his friend Peter.

This will be similar to AR but looking for route ideas from the group. I have no experience here so we will be exploring. I am new at this and the Society events I have been to have group leaders who have a ton of experience and history in the areas we ride. Novice here.

So is the arrival day Sunday the 8th, ride Monday-Thursday and then depart on Friday 13th?

Don't sweat it old man :) if a bunch of dudes can't have a good time riding motorcycles and have a good party afterwards that's their problem!

Yep... cept I'm pretty sure I'll be ridin the FLH rather than an XS ( I;m old and comfort is king now)
