2026 Calendar Nominations Thread

We can't have two bikes nominated with one picture, but has anyone ever self-nominated two of their own bikes? Do we have a precedent that says they can't? I believe it's allowed. I know that there have been a few years with two bikes by the same owner, but I think they were nominated by others.

I meant before that. I quoted 650skull, who was talking about xskiwi's post, which is #69. I agree with 650Skull that you can't nominate two bikes with one picture, but I am wondering if there is a precedent that says you can't self-nominate two bikes with two separate pictures of them. I don't think there is, so I say it's allowed.

Referring to my self nomination at #70, my Driver 77, a bit of background.
The previous owner had responded to my ad looking for forgotten projects, said he hadn't touched this in forever and was unlikely to and wanted it to go to someone who would do right by it, so I drive about three hours to Galt and was glad I did.
He had it as a roller, but the engine was in its own stand, the cam chain needed
joined and all the rest. I recorded some of the build a year ago spring in the "what have you done ..." thread.
Took a while (a guy should really dismantle someone else's work just to be sure) but I had it road ready by fall.
Respectfully soliciting your vote for the
Driver 77.

Use a blank white garage door as a background?
lots of backgrounds work, blank, industrial, nature as long as bike is the focus.
look through previous calendars for ideas. pick pics that appeal to you.
tomorrow's the 30th, last day for noms then jockeying for placement begins:bike:

even a barge can look good in the right light. :lmao:

I'm not spending time searching.

I remember when 2 bikes of the same owner were nominated. it was allowed on condition only one of them was allowed into the calender if both bikes wone the voting stage.
The owner had to nominate which of the 2 went in.

I don't care. ...as I said earlier the rules have changed as the calender has evolved.

The 3 bike rule I pointed out at some point last year. It was made fun of in a condescending post when it was overuled

I don't buy the calender., ( just to costly with exchange rates and postage), so my points are mute.

I will stop my involvement.

Good luck everyone. Every bike deserves an opertunity.

I accept the nominations and thank you to those who have sent advice on where to post things and how to do it.
I really don’t use the computer much, don’t get into social media. I used it initially when I was gathering my parts for my build, first eBay and then Mikes.
I bought the bike new in 1978 when I was 25 and now I’m retired and 72 !
Thank you to everyone who has posted likes on the 750 Jag !
